TAJIMA ROOFING INC. was founded in Tokyo's Mikawajima area in 1919. With a history spanning more than 90 years, the company has always taken seriously its mission as Japan's leader in providing waterproofing materials for the protection of buildings from the ravages of rain, water and humidity.

Beginning with the manufacture of asphalt roofing, we went on to develop the world's first non-woven fabric roofing in 1961. Building on this success and always taking the lead in waterproofing, the company has introduced cutting edge technologies such as the Gumlon cold-applied adhesive process and the G-Wave green rooftop waterproofing system.

Further, answering to the needs presented by advancements in roof renovations and diversification in modern construction procedures, items such as polyurethane coatings and polyvinyl chloride resin sheets have been added to the waterproofing product lineup. The company has thus continued to expand, proving itself a truly world-class waterproofing expert.

Now, as a total rooftop planner, TAJIMA ROOFING INC. is involved in new areas including rooftop signage - such as that for helipads, and solar energy systems.
